@doubleomeFrom my experience, you can practice all you want, and have the best gear, but most online games don't run perfectly smooth all the time and are kinda inconsistent. When I see someone firing a weapon perfectly controlling not only the recoil, but the spread, every single time, then I suspect something. Even within the same round I feel like the recoil and spread changes throughout the round. Sometimes the spread just goes all over or the gun will kick up way harder on the first shot.
The motive: To appear to be the "best" and get people watching you. There can be a lot of money involved. I think it's naive to believe that there isn't a good amount of streamers cheating in FPS games. I've witnessed quite a few get caught in Destiny 2. They weren't top tier streamers or anything, but grinding away and building a following.
They're going to make it look natural as possible. They're good players to begin with, but need an edge to stand out. If they're already making money doing it, then why not write off the cheat as an expense to stay relevant?
