  • @kregora Well, first of all, with this article I wanted to say that a compromise is possible between those who like classes and those who like new specialists. I have not spent as much time on this idea as I would have wanted (some aspects can be reviewed).

    About grenades, I want to say that if the developers did not add a gadget Prox Sensor in grenades, they should not have been limited.Well, about the sniper - this is a class of combat at a distance, he does not need Frag Grenade and SMG. But he can make diversions and for that he has EMP Grenade,C5 Explosive. The NTW-50 is in the sniper rifle category and is not a gadget.

    Auto repair and health recovery in my opinion break the game and make useless Medical Crate, Med Pen and Repair Tool.

    @AlekRazum3000 But there is it again, the class is call Recon, and it isn't spelled SNIPER.
    I think BF2 still had a Sniper class, but this and the Special Forces class were merged into the Recon class in later titles of the franchise.
    BF4 had two class specific field upgrades SpecOps and Sniper.
    First one is close combat stealth oriented, the second one is long range oriented.
    At the moment we don't have any sniper oriented specialist. Caspars perk is close range, and his drone is a long range spotting tool. He is, in my opinion, a spotter, we still have to see a sniper specialists.
    And Paik and Rao also have close range specialists gadgets and perks.
    Technically putting a Sniper Rifles in the Recon class makes even less sense, than putting SMGs in it.

    I agree the NTW-50 is in the category, where all bolt action rifles are, but with the description as an anti-material weapon and its current implementation, I think it belongs into the utility weapon group.
    And since C5 can be thrown and placed, it also should be a throw able, like the frag grenade.

    I totally agree that auto repair, and auto heal have a very negative impact on team play. Especially because I think it currently messes up the health points healed and repair points for the medical crate and repair tool progressions. With the current implementation I think it would be better to use soldiers healed and vehicles repaired to progress those gadgets.
