Smart grenades are a bit broken and need a serious nerf in range and behavior, it's currently over 200 meters, which is ridiculous. Not only that, but you can also throw them blindly into the air and even in the opposite direction to the vehicle you want to hit, and they will make an immediate 180-degree turn and lock onto the target anyway. Plus, they regenerate on their own, so you can spam them without refilling from ammo crate. The lock on range must be nerfed to something like 30-40 meters and 30 meters max for their travel distance in air, also player should have visual contact with the target he wants to hit. Right now they promote spam without any skills and simply cannot stay as they are
I agree! This specialist is very OP!
Wingsuit is good enough for a Specialist. These grenades are very OP, they even chase jets at high altitudes. Either remove from play, or nerf the range and quantity.Good pilots can fly them away. It happened to me so so many times i throw it and it locks to the chopper then chopper just fly away and grenade never reach it.
If nerf the range you can only use it against ground vehicles and not very good to against them even so basically it would be worthless
- UP_Hawxxeye4 years agoLegend@aksur83 The problem for pilots is not that they can be hurt by them. But that they give them false alarms
- @ItachiSSIII The design itself is not a problem, the range is, as well as "targeting logic".
Any half decent pilot will run away from the nades - any flying vehicle in this game can outrun Sundance's granade.
If they correct the logic of how granade chooses targets and limit their range to 100m they will be perfectly fine. @WienerBeardcompletely agree. And here's the typical example :
1st grenade is going to the flares while the tank is clearly closer and I was aiming for it. And, even worse, the second grenade is going the same way while flares are not there anymore...
- @UP_Hawxxeye I know and i mostly use it because pilots may have to use flares and then it is vulnerable to aa. Im very bad pilot but used to be pretty good infantry but in this game is a real challenge try to survive against all the vehicles. If there is pro pilot or many of them coz there can be so many choppers its so hard to beat them unless there is many guys to use aa against it. I think it shouldnt be the idea that couple of choppers can control the game. But sure this is the problem no matter what kind of player you are, infantry, tank or chopper there is just too much of everything and it is quite messy and chaos because so many players and everybody can carry everything with that new system. This game is so different what we are used to. Good players may no longer be able to stand out so clearly and its frustrating many of us. Really hope those upcoming updates will fix it to be better but i doub the chaos doesnt go away with 128 players

Why is it op exactly? Yeah it’ll lock onto jets and helicopters but there’s no way they’re ever going to catch up to you if your far away enough. The grenades move at like 5 mph

No offence but the general vibe is that they are a bit OP and need nerfing.
Once those aspects are fixed then we can worry about whether they go for the wrong target.
I can tell you in my games the enemy seem to have no issues getting successful hits on my vehicle at ridiculous ranges.
