@TickTack121Being able to instantly change between a DMR to an SMG/LMG (extreme example!) could be really bad for balance hence the player must stop and think before switching because of any delay by animation.
I am not against the mechanic on the whole, but a tad wary on how it might be implemented. The extreme example above should not be possible without penalty of some sort if at all.
Picking the right primary will still be a meaningful choice even with the added flexibility of the plus system.
As for the animation - it should be brief like the lowering of the weapon as was suggested above, we don't need lengthy animations in which we are locked into in the middle of the action.

There definitely needs to be a delay, and if there is a delay you may as well put in a decent animation. If you change ammo type, then show a mag swap animation. If changing a scope, likewise show one being removed and another added. A mag swap would be quicker than a barrel or scope change.
- Trokey664 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_SunnyTheWolf I did say it was an extreme example and I accept that this extreme example is not entirely possible but I used it for dramatic affect to highlight possible issues with the mechanic.
@ninjapenquinuk there are precedents in BF4 (2x Scope selection) and BF1 (Burton incendiary rounds) so the is hopefully, no reason to expect there won't be some sort of delay/animation.- 4 years ago@Trokey66 Yes, but it was worded in such a way that it could give others an entirely misguided idea of what is possible through the plus system and what that entails when it comes to balancing the gunplay.

@UP_SunnyTheWolfI even said it was an 'extreme example' and concluded with 'if at all'!

@UP_SunnyTheWolf As much as i am annoyed by Silly Animations, changing the Setting of the gun should Definetly be punished. If you do this mid action, you should Definetly die. At least this is my opinion.
