@Trokey66 As far as I've understood the system - you are making the adjustments within the framework of the chosen weapon. Therefore, you can't just turn a DMR into a SMG through the plus system - you can only modify the said DMR to better suit the close quarters engagement where you would normally prefer to use a SMG, and vice versa.
Picking the right primary will still be a meaningful choice even with the added flexibility of the plus system.
As for the animation - it should be brief like the lowering of the weapon as was suggested above, we don't need lengthy animations in which we are locked into in the middle of the action.

@UP_SunnyTheWolf I did say it was an extreme example and I accept that this extreme example is not entirely possible but I used it for dramatic affect to highlight possible issues with the mechanic.
@ninjapenquinuk there are precedents in BF4 (2x Scope selection) and BF1 (Burton incendiary rounds) so the is hopefully, no reason to expect there won't be some sort of delay/animation.

- 4 years ago@Trokey66 Yes, but it was worded in such a way that it could give others an entirely misguided idea of what is possible through the plus system and what that entails when it comes to balancing the gunplay.

@UP_SunnyTheWolfI even said it was an 'extreme example' and concluded with 'if at all'!
- 4 years ago@Trokey66 Look I mean no ill will, but your comment could very easily be taken at face value, and be understood as that "extreme example" still being an option, which is not the case.
I was merely trying to clear up that point to other forum users. All is well...
