Where do I switch sides in breakthrough, last 10-15 queues was literally defending and it's frustrating. I leave game and requeue and it keeps putting me on side of defense. I don't understand how really badly designed this game is,. Has anyone tried to contact the designers, I looked them up on wikipedia, and tell them how bad of a job they did.
legend says you play the same map 2 times if the Matchmaker wills it, once as attacker and once as defender.... yet i have seen videos of it not working and read comments saying the same... so roll the DICE until you get what you want

Perhaps people just don't want to defend.
Those slots you are filling during a re-queue were likely vacated by other people with your mindset. They see defense and bail. Server imbalance is created. New joiners are placed on defense. And repeat.
Your best bet is to just stick with a server. After the round that wave of players hits the matchmaking pool together causing the MM to spool up a new server.
Being assigned to a team on a fresh server should get you a 50% chance of attacking. If you just re-queue on existing servers you're probably looking at a 5% chance.
Sadly switching has been a "legacy feature" since BFV.
Yet another thing they "fixed" that was not broken along with the All Chat
