Takedowns are broken
Since the release of the new patch I’ve had 5 or so takedowns straight up not work and just stab the person… anyone else having this issue?

- @Psubond Same… what makes it even more frustrating is that they release new takedowns with the battle pass that actually look pretty cool. But after so many failed attempts I don’t even wanna try anymore.
- @TheGreasyBiscuit i've been doing T1 on weapons. i just shoot people when i find them. knifing in this game just doesn't have the satisfaction it used to. idk why. i do wish we could see the names of the players that we took tags from like in bad company 2 (there was a page that you could see the name of everyone you knifed and what level they were when you knifed them...and how many times)

- @TheGreasyBiscuit Takedowns were the first sign that this Battlefield was going to be broken.
1st person takedown in better battlefield was the coolest thing to ever happen in a FPS have you noticed you very rarely get knifed in bf2042, compared to previous BF, its because the knife action sucks why have you changed the way we knife people? another call of duty copy that clearly doesnt work its too slow and even when it does say take down it never works perfectly, i have lost count the amount of times i have been killed midway threw a cut scene of me knifing someone its too slow. no one ever complained about previous games with the knife action. but no we have to change that,

I long-since stopped trying to do takedowns. They work maybe 10% of the time, and for so little purpose. You're better off just shooting, otherwise you may try to do a takedown, it breaks, then they turn around and shoot you anyway.

That has happened to me many times, I usually just go for the safe option and shoot them these days.
You just feel like a total failure when the enemy turns round and kills you. ☹️
