As per realism, yes BF is known for it but 2042 has dropped altitude in that department.
Anyway, this is an argument more for the sake of gameplay and less for the sake of realism.
Whatever then, I'll drop and roll with it. Like I mentioned in one of the comments above, I don't mind, was just my two cents on the matter.
@SgtGhost57Respect brother, i completely agree with you slightly on the realism department, It has substantially dropped, But one of the main things i like is that, Now see if the cannons didn't change model for what cannon you have equiped, I would totally agree with you, Maybe its just me but the immersion means alot in a game like this, If they changed it so that the cannon was only reflective in the Hardware Appearances i would be fine with both it being changed per driver
As for it changing, Not gonna lie to you ive always remembered it staying as default, But its been years since I've played BF3 & BF4, For me i lost touch with BF with BF1 and BFV as I'm not a big historic person

Then lets get immersion really going... Since US and RU soldiers are trained to operate their own equipment, lets prevent vehicle stealing altogether since RU or US wouldn't know how to operate the opposing country's asset.
I despised the concept of vehicle stealing in previous BF titles but accepted it. The asset is worth more to the enemy than costing the enemy one ticket. Many games people would bail their tanks or helicopters only for the asset to be stolen and then horded in enemy spawn because that reduced the enemy's combat effectiveness during a match. Good strategy but poor sportsmanship.
- 4 years ago@Dont_Qwit Now i get where your going but i will respectfully disagree, Lets be fair, If a tank crew*Cause logically in the BF Universe we're all trained to handle any and all vehicles* in real life if a tank crew were to take control of an enemy vehicle then i don't think there would be much difference, How would i know though, but respectfully stealing enemy vehicles imo should stay in the game
As for people stealing vehicles and keeping them alive by playing defensive/passive, i wouldn't be annoyed at them, The main person id be annoyed at would be the person who allowed them to grab that asset, now although there isn't an official rule book for Battlefield, Im sure a majority of veteran BF Players would agree that one of the main rules is to always go down with the ship unless you can ensure that its being destroyed- sakrelij4 years agoNew Scout@Johnathan123YT I'm not against stealing the asset as I have come to take advantage of it even in 2042. I shot a pilot out of a little bird and then jumped in it as it wasn't destroyed by falling out of the sky. Then, I used it against them until I was shot down. No biggie, it was fun.
My point was, regardless of stealing and using the asset, if we want immersion then don't allow vehicle stealing. But since it's been in the series for a decade (ref: BF3 release Oct 2011?), apply your loadout so you can actually use the tank you're accustomed to. Bringing this over from BF3/4/1/5 should have been a no-brainer.
Keep the asset, use the asset, abuse the asset, IDC as it has been with us since the concept's inception.
