tanks need buff

it is basically useless against anything in the game.slow turret turn.reduced splash damage.no APS(add APS pls)no cover against air vehicles on opened maps all your cover is smoke.1 c4 drone ure dead and everybody can equip recoilless m5.i dont want to choose bolte over tanks.tanks supposed to be strong.im not saying make it op.just balance it the way it is in previous battlefields

@BrokenCompileYes you can, but it involves a lot of camping and it's very tedious.

I survive many rounds in one tank but a lot of the time it's a boring round where you do not feel you have contributed much to the team.

If the enemy team is competent you will not achieve much success in the tank. Just 2 Sundances can decimate a tank in no time with their homing missiles.

Edit: and I forget to add. Sundance can also have the M5 equipped. That's not an OP setup at all lol!!

  • I would say the staff shell defo needs a tweak , too long a reload for very little damage effect regardless of lock on  , quite the grind just to be left feeling disappointment so I switched back to heat…..,

@ragnarok013Sadly the bigger sensitivity wrecked my aircraft sensitivity as well so I dialed it back down

I do not think that is the solution tbh.

They really need to free up the tank turrets a lot

@UP_Hawxxeye I don't fly so I didn't know it affected aircraft in such a drastic manner. We really need separate vehicle control sets back IMO.

    what, not really.

In BF4 you needed only two RPG Rockets to blow a tank if you hit him in the right spot. From behind for example cause the armor was weaker.

Now you need 4 Rockets, we only have three. so two mates are always needed.
and with all of these Bolts, Tanks and Hovers, almost always 10 to 20 people die before you get one down.

So NO, dmg reduction is not the best thing to do.

I and problably most of the gamers die more often because of all the vehicles and Helis then fighting against soldiers.

Check your math. You load in with 4 rockets now.

@carsono311Definitely. A real MBT can elevate its main gun quite high in order to engage choppers. In 2042 the elevation needs a drastic improvement.

The need to raise the turret further was the first thing I called out when I played the Beta. The pitch indicator on the tank UI shows the same 20 degree upward range that BF4 tanks had but when playing it certainly doesn't feel like it aims as high. The open maps are just painful when you get Heli's/jets with the Air to Ground missles unlocked. There is basically nothing you can do to fight back as they attack from an angle to high to shoot at in return; the only thing that can hit them is the gunner on the HMG or Minigun but those do so little damage you'll die long before they get the Heli to even half health.

Also the staff shells in Bf4 only worked when a target was painted but could go after air vehicles, staff shells in 2042 are fire and forget, no targeting necessary, but ignore air vehicles.

    Ah, that explains it.

Plus helicopters and jets also need separate keybind tabs etc.

Thankfully Florian seems to have aknowledged that so hopefully we will start get that type of QoL at some point
