My hope is they wont being doing seasons but will add Maps and Weapons with some sort of pass.
I would be shocked if they added new maps and weapons after Season 5. They won't have devs to support that type of work. A pass is a lot of work. They have already been releasing fluff in every season to stretch out the existing content, and needed another studio to finish a map for them (Flashpoint), which was supposed to be a Portal map. So if they are already trickling content during live service, there is no way they are releasing any new content outside of player cards, charms, and maybe some existing skins (from previous events) after Season 5 ends.

The devs absolutely lit Twitter up confirming a season 6 today I saw the post and followed it. I believe this topic and temporal had a lot to do with this. The devs would've absolutely destroyed our trust and dismantled the community if they ended 2042 sooner than they did bfv. 2042 was half baked from the start so to end it sooner than bfv would've been really bad for them. That being said I'm pretty excited for continued support, I just hope they ramp it up some more cause season 5 doesn't seem to great as it is now. This 1 map every 12-14 weeks, is extremely brutal and makes it hard to play the game past the 6-8 week mark. I stopped playing this time by week 8 or 9 and haven't jumped back on since. Normally I try to stay engaged throughout the season but I absolutely hated flashpoint.
