- doubleome2 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_Hawxxeye Cheers I'll try those. EMP really isn't my style tried it yday but apart from seing tons of equipment destroyed I still gotta go up there to kill the enemy.
C5 should also help with the shields everyone seems to place in doorways and on stairs leaving no room to cross, good times - UP_Hawxxeye2 years agoLegend@doubleome
It can help to call throwing C5 a "pizza delivery" - Ai-Fluffy2 years agoSeasoned Ace
What you mean is, DICE removed skill from the game and introduced no-skill game mechanics for the casuals.

Basically yeah, you are playing against the game instead of the players

That's what I have been doing😉
- @Ai-Fluffy Sounds like an actual skill issue to me. As in, if there are so many "no-skill game mechanics" then why are such supposedly "skilled" players having problems? All I'm hearing is infinite crying from people who can't seem to understand that they might have to do something besides shift+W into the enemy team. I have 0 problems with Sentinels. Because I equip EMPs and destroy them. Or I just shoot them since there is almost always an angle or flank to get to. Especially on Redacted, you can run through the enemy side of the map to get behind them. 99% of the supposed "issues" with the game are created by the players themselves..
- kregora2 years agoSeasoned Ace@doubleome Even after the addition of spin up times and rearm timers on the APS the gadget still is overly powerfull.
In my opinion, main issue is, that the APS stay indefinetly, Irish doesn't need to stay close and may die as often as he likes, the APS stays.
Being in an "Irish" week, doesn't help, because Irish APS plus Ammo Crate creates and issue by itself on Redacted. - doubleome2 years agoSeasoned Ace
@SVND0WNNo skill mechanics or anything to make it easier to achieve something for lesser skilled players is generally done by lowering the overall skill ceiling. In this case by making it sometimes impossible apart from sheer luck to do something about the situation a head.
At some point it’s not about the PVP element anymore but purely mechanics fighting mechanics, which would be fun to watch on an F1 track but not in a fps game. - doubleome2 years agoSeasoned Ace@UP_Hawxxeye Yeah C5 plus smoke is a very good start and is somewhat working considering the sheer amount of APS. Regenerating after a failed mission takes a while though before you have 2+ C5 again and some parts of map with a little distance it still doesn’t cut it, but that’s life I guess

In small doses the specialists gadgets are somewhat ok but can very quickly alter the game entirely as shown with this Irish stacking on Redacted because of the mission and balancing that is an impossible task to achieve hence why it’s a flawed system to begin with.
And the weekly meta changes with mission and gamemodes is frankly exhausting sometimes. You just wanna load your favourite game and have some fun not see your gamemode removed or needing to learn a new meta entirely.
That’s what portal is for right? To mess with the meta and have some fun without the need for balance
I dread the day it’s Dozers turn on the weekly missions.
