Aircraft have far better tools for escaping from ground forces trying to down them than ground forces have to set up plays to actually kill aircraft.
Believe me I know, I have been both on the giving and receiving end of this.
But it REALLY makes a difference if the one time there is a good window to land stingers if it is 3 at once instead of 1.
Same if the pilot has to dodge like 4 people using the liz missiles instead of 1.
The main advantage of infantry vs vehicles is their overwhelming number.
I know some aircraft are just dumb right now but trying is better than accepting it
@UP_Hawxxeye I was only at the infantry end... edgecrusherO0 is right, if the pilot is not greedy, there is nothing the infantry can do, except poke a little bit. The stealth helicopter pilot has all aces. If Rao hacks? Flare before it gets through and fly away. If Stinger, just flare and fly away. If flares on cooldown, just take cover behind a hill or far enough, so nobody can lock you. If the pilot is no sleeping on all the little helpers (acoustic and visual), the only viable option is Lis with her rockets (funny enough, without boost they are not much faster than the helicopter, but less maneuverable) or a lucky shot with the M5. Really, nothing, without the help of an AA or other air. The stealth helicopter can counter everything, the infantry can do.
The most frustrating thing is... even if you use the rocket of Lis, you need two hits... very hard to hit one, impossible to hit two. Also, because the reload time is unpleasantly long... to get the helicopter after the first hit, you have to use boost.
And please, nobody has to tell me, that it is about teamplay. Why does the helicopter can solo everything, but the other side needs the whole team.
A thing, what is bothering me, too... why does the helicopter pilot gets every visual and acoustic help, if someone want to hack him, shoots a rocker (Lis), or is trying to use a stinger, but if Rao hacks something, nobody gets any information. It is really annoying, if you play Rao and wants to hack the helicopter, but it was already hacked... and the window to shoot a stinger is very (very!) short, to get a shot with the stinger in this window. So the hack is less useful, as the pilots are thinking.
@Captain_Tachithe Liz rockets need a big facelift vs aircraft.
They are officially supposed to be the reason that they could add the Stealth heli and we all know how little they help
