- @Sohsuh the best is when you have better faster gun and 1/2 way to a kill you die 1 frame and it was by the enemy at 30% health that never turned toward you or fired a shot out of their pistol...

There is an obvious desynch going on. We have talked about this in the TTK/TTD thread extensively.

wait a minute?
a game with over 100m free sightlines and an average BTK for an AR at 100m between 5-7 bullets. In a game with the lowest recoil in the franchise.....
this is by design from DICE, if they cared about balance they would need rework the entire gunplay system top to bottom, yet we all know this is never going to happen....

The gunplay in BF2042 is the worst of any game I've ever played period. As others have mentioned, it's probably baked in and just can't be fixed. We're 2 years in at this point.
BF5 had mostly terrible gun engagements in my opinion as well. Yes the weapons actually felt pretty good to use but the engagements themselves were only slightly better than 2042.
After BF5 I was really hoping to a return to fun gunplay engagements similar to BF4 and BF1. Unfortunately they've gotten worse. Lucky us....

DICE has yet to reply. Not only am I experiencing a high number of insta-deaths, the damage value in the damage log is no longer hitting 100%. So there is clearly something really broken with the netcode and hit reg.
They know how to alleviate some of the issues, but they will never do it = go to 60Hz servers. These 45Hz servers are garbage. Nothing syncs with 45Hz in the game. There are weapons that have a RoF faster than the server tick rate. Thanks DICE! Someone made that decision. Someone approved of that decision. Lets's use 45Hz servers because they are XX amount cheaper than 60Hz. The sad part is there are games that use 120Hz servers, it is 2023 and we get 45Hz.Why does 45Hz matter? That means you will get bundled hits against you, sometimes as many as 3-4 depending on the weapon and the timing of the server and client updates.
