The Atmosphere of war
Can you guys please make the game's atmosphere feel more like a war so we can enjoy it? Thanks

@G-Recons You picked the wrong game. BF2042 is about being hip. This game isn't about war in any way. It's about Santa Skins 🙂 No amount of patching will ever fix this abomination.

IMO, BF1 nailed 'atmosphere' the most. Can't speak for AOW but I reckon we'll see some crazy good Portal lobbies if/when progression is fixed

@TTZ_Dipsy you're spot on. Portal is the answer to so many issues with AOW but DICE intentionally curtailing XP in Portal is really kneecapping Portal and the Community's willingness to play it. That and the fact that good portal servers are transitory so you can't save a good server to your favorites and return to it whenever you want to play.

When i say portal progression I mean everything is locked you unlock the guns attachments as you play , and I hope we can all redo such assignments like the Phantom in Bf4 was such a journey ♡ What a time to be alive
I get the BF1 reference, Paschendale was for me the best map for atmosphere. After that though, few maps really portrayed much beyond that.
It is arguable that a lot of the BF2042 can feel a tad 'clean' but in many ways, it is in keeping with the back story, war hasn't reached these areas yet and the is no point in bombing somewhere if there is no reason to bomb it!
Part of the problem for me, and it was the same with many past games, maps can be too spread out preventing a 'front line' developing meaning you can spend a lot of the game away from atmospheric creating action.
The maps are far from my favorites but there have been worse on my opinion.
