@ragnarok013 Hopefully Marcus is doing good work on changing the direction in terms of tone/appearance for future maps/skins. He seems to be very much in-line with the community in not being a big fan of the current "haha, war is fun and hilarious with this Woody skin, honk honk!" setting and wants a return to a bit more gritty/realistic visuals. Not like, hardcore milsim realism, but like...BF realism where it plays it pretty straight but also has hovercrafts going up vertical buildings and rendezook shenanigans.
@edgecrusherO0 Marcus isn't working on 2042, he's working on another Battlefield project so we can't count on him to save the current game - hopefully Marcus can steer Battlefield back on course for the next game(s). Until then we need to continue to leave robust, detailed, and constructive feedback about 2042 here on the forums so DICE sees what the community wants and expects from a Battlefield game so DICE can't say there wasn't any feedback from the community.
Like, supposedly he was one of the forces behind the Mackay skin in the bundle given to Gold/Ultimate owners, but I don't have a source for that that's 100% trustworthy.
It's confusing with him both working on 2042 in a way but also not working on it specifically.
I just wish we could hear from Vince on what the future for BF under his leadership is going to look like, since he's in charge of the whole franchise now.

@ragnarok013 He's building a studio for the narrative entry, but he's also in charge of the overall BF narrative. So while he's not working on 2042 proper in terms of new designs/balance, he's apparently having considerable input on changes to the style/tone of the game with future updates.

Marcus is at least on the record being as Baffled by the design, tone, and formula changes as the long time fans are. As Fox Mulder says "I want to believe".
- 4 years ago@ragnarok013 Vince for sure know how to make a game. CoD and Titanfall 1 and 2 (especially Titanfall which I personally consider BEST fps up to date) prove he is capable to do things in a right way if he has freedom to do so. But at the same time as much as I want to believe Vince can make a difference probably he is going to do that difference in next game and not redeem this one.

One thing those game have in common that neither one of them is in any way similar to Battlefield.
