I like the game. However for reasons most others don't care about. In its current state it is fun. I play it because it is the only battlefield game that includes AI or bots in the multiplayer server and I can play with bots anytime with progression and ribbons. No other battlefield game since BF2 with its modding community has there been a battlefield that offers the ability to add bots and change so much to the play style that I can be addicted to it as a casual gamer. Competitive game players like the PVP and if that is what you like I can say that BF1, BF4,BF5 will all give you better and more enjoyment as a multiplayer game and they offer single player campaigns which build the immersion story. Battlefield 2042 offers Portal with AI and bots and that is why I play it.
If the previous battlefields 1,3,4,5 had the same bot /AI support that 2042 has I would be playing BF 1,4,5 so much more. I did not play the campaigns of any of them but they look great.
It is the multiplayer with AI on destructive maps with ribbons that appeals to me over and over again.
Why I like to play with bots?
They allow you to command the vehicle at all times as they give you the choice instead of waiting in line at the spawn screen.
Bots are more consistent as they play with the same skill and they don't cheat.!!!
I wish Developers would spend more time implementing Bots/AI and the variety of them to like (Specialist AI/bots) to the game.
I believe that the names of the AI/bots should be allowed to be edited to be whatever you want to name them so that players joining a server you created would not really have an easy time identifying the AI from Real players.
BE HONEST aside from cheaters, AI and real people can play alike in many ways. When attacking infantry from the air it doesn't really matter if you are killing Players or AI.
AI will join your server anytime in the future which will keep the game alive for years to come.
Playing with real people in your squad with VOIP against BOTS is no different than current games like "READY or NOT" or "INSURGENCY SANDSTORM" which pits P v AI so its very common.
Summary: 2042 Is my current favorite Battlefield experience mainly and subjectively because of its current implementation of AI in the options for multiplayer server setup configuration and the fact that Battlefield engines have great Physics, sound, and destruction with vehicles and variety.
