I've been using it a lot since unlocking it and think it's decent but not op. It's versatile but I still get outgunned by other weapons.

Exactly this. It is popular because it is new but in close range smg is still a king and close to mid it is AR's territory. I wouldn't call it that OP. Strong one but not ultimately better than other choices.
