@ragnarok013My memory might fail me but the DMRs in BF4 were not really used much because they were nerfed compared to BF3 due to being class wide.
If I wanted to make a long range shot I would always use a bolt action for that chance of the ohk headshot. Otherwise the M4 carbine was the gun for me.
Edit: I just remembered that BF4 has the most awkward trajectories for the BA rifles. They would fly above the barrel level and then start dropping like artillery.

@UP_Hawxxeye no DMRs were and still are incredibly popular in BF4 with non-recon classes due to their power so if they were nerfed they're still incredibly good. I constantly hear the "crack crack crack" of DMR fire directed at me as it has a very distinctive sound and I still play BF4 a lot. The Community used to complain on the forums and in TS3 about the ubiquity of that sound in BF4 since DMRs were used so much.
I can just agree on that.
This unique sound you realized right away what DMR rounds were shot at you.
It was a nice change sometimes to play them, and they're actually pretty good if you know how to handle them with the single fire mode.
Pretty good damage for the middle rate of fire they had. 🙌 in BF1 DMRs even became my favorite.

SVD-12 to me is hands down the best powerhouse weapon in BF4. Okay did spend a lot of time with M39.
I like them a lot.

Yeah, there was a lot of uniquely handled and rewarding/limited weaponry to choose from.
For all you had to change your playstyle a bit. (DMR -- low rate of fire, but the punch and range, but that is slighly negated in Mk11 which is quite light, so you can use it as shorter range faster ROF).
A lot to love about BF4 in memory (and actually still actively playing it).
