The death of pre-order!
It is not just Battlefield 2042 that released too so much hype and fanfare, Many other games by other companies have been thrust upon the players with little regard to quality and little respect for...
Coincidentally it was Battlefield 4 that ended my pre-order habit for any and every game.
Once upon a time, pre order just guaranteed the disc on launch day and that was it, fair enough when only physical copies were involved.
With digital though comes the 'free stuff' and that can be an attractive proposition for many people.
As long as 'free stuff' is offered, pre order will continue.
