The difference between "supressor" and "heavy supressor" revealed.

Thanks to this video I found out what exactly is the reason one would use a heavy suppressor vs a regular one.

The game UI only shows that the heavy suppressor has a larger damage penalty but not what the benefits are.

The normal suppressor hides your audio spot from enemies further than 20m than you, those closer will see you on their minimap. So it is made to silently take out targets who are not too close.

The heavy suppressor hides your audio spot from enemies even closer than 20m from you. This is the close range assassination suppressor.

Once again it fell down to players to find and explain the things the UI does not tell. Kudos to TheCadWoman for the info.

  • This was also in a JackFrags video released on the same day.

I was a bit wary of putting the heavy suppressor on my MP9, but it's great for close quarters fighting. 8BTK isn't too bad when the enemy has no idea you're there and your gun fires that in less than half a second.

  • @UP_Hawxxeye good to Know.

Wonder what hidden stats the other attachments have. There's so many of them that seem to do exactly the same if you go by their stats and description.
