@dbasshooker The biggest problem to me is the introduction of other games, rather than expanding on the potential of the battlefield core mechanics. It's like the developers are trying to be "hip", for lack of a better word - especially when you look at its "battle royale", "operators", and Apex-like playstyle.
It wasn't a love letter to battlefield, it was a love letter to other FPS and trying to incorporate the things that provide separation from battlefield.
If it was a love letter to Battlefield, it would have encorporated the best elements of previous Battlefield games:
* BF3 Maps style,
* BF4 levolution (not the trashy storms),
* BF1 combat style,
* BF2142s Titans, teamplay, and technology,
* BFV's movement advancements,
* a Mix of classes from all Battlefield encorporating all of the equipment and gadgets that have been the most well recieved.
