The end of BF Series

Just like so many others, I think it’s now the end of the real BF. I’m an older gamer, BF3, BF4 we’re the best. My friends won’t play 2042 and I think I may be done too. I don’t care what y’all think...

@Eventhius85 Correct me if I am wrong but where did you see where they called the main game a love letter to BF other than Portal?

@CantGetRight You're not wrong, but to me the most important thing about a game isn't Portal (sure its great for customisation, and a lot of us original battlefield players rue for the day for a mod like desert combat to come back), its the main game, which appears to greatly neglect historical battlefield iterations. So yes, I took their comments out of context to highlight my point.

@Eventhius85pulling things out of context is not a good thing 😉 Here are many that like the game and also reading news 😉 and I think fuelling the fire is always a bad thing.

Yes, Battlefield has changed a lot but is this bad? In my humble opinion it is not. And yes, the specialists are different but they bring so much more to the battlefield and I have fun playing it.
I'm on my way to 200h (184h+ at the moment!) so seems that i have fin with it ^^

Has BF2042 issues for sure it has, many bugs, performance issues und missing some QoL but DICE is already fixing things and the patches 3.0 and 3.1 where a good step into the right direction

I think at this point DICE is in a situation they will lose every time. When they had released a Remake, many will complain oh nothing new? where is the Innovation? Or some will complain that has nothing to do with the original they changed to much…

Now we have something completely new there are also people complaining about the tiniest things at the moment.

We are three weeks in and some people complaining that there are not enough patches and so on...

So lets see what DICE will give us and if it is good maybe I will get into the next title 😉 when it is bad my wallet stays close. as Easy as it is for me ^^

But I think I can’t complain anymore, at this point I have paid less than an 1€ for the hour^^ so I’m fine and still there is more to come ^^

I've been a big Battlefield fan since BBC2 but I'd hate to go back to the way it was. I play Portal now and love the old classes but the specialists bring lots of depth to the game for me.
I don't think the Steam stats show a true picture either. I'm instantly getting into games on PS5 including Hazard Zone which the YouTubers said would be dead in a week.
