As others have said, DICE have engineered it to force Teamplay into the game to achieve certain things, but there is little to no motivation or reward for doing so. The level of complexity needed to effectively deal with OP helos is nuts, you need someone else on your team with a specific class, using a specific loadout that includes the SOFLAM, or tracer dart, alongside someone else playing with a specific class, using a specific loadout to fire rockets. And somehow, magically, for those people to coordinate and communicate in the middle of a firefight from numerous types of enemies.
If the planets align and somehow you find yourself in that situation - what's your reward? About 110XP for an assist. Big. Deal. No wonder 2042 is the most lone-wolf focussed game in the franchise to date. And yet they continue to make changes to try to force teamplay by making vehicles stronger and infantry weaker....
When they finally listened to the command reinstated classes, they ran into the issue of how to keep specialist but put them in classes. It just doesn't work. It's like making orange juice from a banana.
The next BF needs to revert back to classes and forget specialist all together. They are for a completely different game, not BF!
