Who actually wants these kind of apex legends skins in their battlefield game?Who makes these calls? Not only is the entire game a total mess from release, no one likes the what the gameplay have turned in to either.What makes whoever is in charge think these kind of skins will help the game to survive? No battlefield fan wants this stuff in their battlefield game.Am i alone or do we all feel like this?Atleast when i saw these latest skins i finnaly decided to uninstall and never come back to 2042, ive officialy lost all hope for a comeback. Maybe even for Dice.Im sorry to see an era go out like this.Edit since i clearly not got my issue across clearly. I do not mind skins or mtx in the game!What i have a problem with is not skins, its the tone of the skins and what they do to the game, how they not fit the supposed narrative of the game or battlefield as a franchise. The specialists to me are less of a problem in themself compared to how the game is gonna look when i play it when / if everyone runs around with cartoon skins.I think they did us wrong by marketing this game this way, i cant see how this is the game between bf4 and 2142 in anyway. It shall be interesting to see how they explain this down the line (if they do)The way this game has gone i think it would been much more fair to the consumers if it was branded and marketed as a forked IP in the same maner as the bad company series was.

You are not alone, and yes we know we don't have to use them, but it just looks like the FRANCHISE I love is going down a path that I doubt I will be going down. I tried Apex, its not my cup of tea, I have played COD, again, not my cup of tea......I chose battlefield because it was different, more realistic, not quirky, and now this......all I can do is shake my head. : (

@X-Sunslayer-X its a dealbraker for me when the tone of the franchise do a total 180 yes, as in even if they fix the technical stuff, it will still not be what im looking for in a battlefield game. The skins tells me what their vision is for the future and since they are otherwise radio silent nothing else gives me any better clues currently. I dont think that warrents me to never touch new games at all, it just tells me Dice no longer makes battlefield games.

@Psubond for being a smartass ur not verry bright, the post is to tell Dice / EA this is not what we want and tell them why they are losin us. If we dont post about it, how can we have change? I think reddit rants are not enough even if there are 1000 posts like it. Im not telling you as a player, if i wanted to do that i would pm random users.

@Trokey66Think of the funny side of the gold/red shotgun skin: If they ever nerf it in a patch, it will become the most fitting skin to use with it as it resembles a NERF toy gun more with these colors 😉
I would advocate for a "plastic toy gun" texture and color for every gun and vehicle in the game just so that one can use them as a "complaint" for the nerfs on certain guns/vehicles.

@Buzzfunk Since there is so few communication from the developers, skins are one visible evidence we use to determine what kind of game Battlefield 2042 wants to be.
Most of us come here, while we still care, and sometimes it feels like the remaining players care more than the devs.
If I want to play a game with COD and Apex Legends skins, I would play those games, because, to be honest, they do it better.
BF2042 at the moment refuses to define what it wants to be, and we keep guessing where this is going.

@Kyosji I still learned to cover sharp angles of a tanks hull and turret to make it less visible.
Sure, when on a Battlefield, the stealthiness goes away, the moment the first shot is fired. But hey, a modern battle tank destroys every other vehicle on the Battlefield with one shot, except other MBT of the same or younger generation.

@Trokey66 But you right, but those were exceptions with a very large pool of viable alternatives. For me in BFV the gold skins where there to unlock, not to use.

@Trokey66 I assume your definition of "very large pool" and mine are different. But yeah, there are more realistic options for weapons, than there are for specialists.

there is no very large pool of weapons in any previous battlefield game. there is only the best weapon of each weapon type. for the most part people stick to the meta as at the end of the day this is a video game that depends on numbers and the math always works out to a best weapon per weapon type
