The old scoreboard
Please bring back the old scoreboard showing kills, deaths, score, ping etc of all people in the server. The new one is too messy, unclear and doesn't show me useful information or just too little in...

Hi, many ppl is asking about why we dont have a scoreboard.
Have Dice/EA even explained WHY they dont added a scorebord in BF2042? There are so many questions that needs to be answered and why dont they just explain the reason behind stuff like this instead of having ppl leaving the game in frustration?
According to them its a "legacy feature"...
Also, scoreboards hurt people's feelings it seems.
The reason for all stuff is simple: this wanna-be game is what they had in mind to make even though the entire community said they didn't want it.
Specialists? We didn't want it. EA/DICE: Specialists are here to stay!
Scoreboard? Legacy feature... wouldn't want to hurt the snowflakes out there...
Voice chat? Its a legacy feature and again, its sooo toxic and we don't want feelings to get hurt.
Content? Legacy feature...
Maps? Well, we tried but hey, we have tornado's!
Rush/TDM? Lets just put that in portal instead of fleshing it out...
Balance? Why play-test or QA anything when you can have your community do it after paying 60-110 $
And so on...
- @Daeyon-be Did ea dice ever say they removed something because some player might get their feelings hurt? Or is that conjecture and speculation?
It's speculation and/or mockery as far as I am aware
If they would just fix portal.
-same xp as normal game.
-wapon unluck while playing portal.
-good server browser
-Hardcore mode
If they just fix portal, i would probably never play a regular game again.
I also hate that you cant chat cross teams.
For one it helps cheater go unnoticed and second you cloud talk to enemy;s caming in base.
Also the enemy going berserk in chat because they werent able to kill you was super fun.
But we now must treat them like snowflakes and protect them from the big bad world.
I was realy surpriced wen they i noticed they even f**up the orignal maps.
Just look at the disgrace border has become.
The big destructible wall...poof its gone, but now we have a little tyni jumpable wall and a some fences.
The big * climble tower in the middel, stil there bud you cant climb in it anymore,
The fire you could turn on at the bottom...its gone.
The Fauna, trees, bushes and gras evenlook wors then a game made in 2011.
It is obvious they dint want to spent time porting the awesome and detailed frostbite distruction.
The fact that the game is was developed in 1,5 years is inrevent for the end product.
You can blame Dice or EAm the fact remeans that the game wasnt ready for release.
People are doing chargebacks via their bank connected to their steam accounts after getting denied a refund for this lemon. They know FULL WELL this will result in losing their entire steam account but they are still doiing it, its the only way in your power to refund the lemon. Not gonna link posts, see for yourself if you want.
I wanted a scoreboard too but now that all my games are half AI until halfway through, I dont see the point anymore.
Leaning... legacy feature. Scoreboard... legacy feature. VOIP??? I guess that's legacy?

Useful and beneficial things like a scoreboard and server browser are considered "legacy features" by the incompetents at DICE
- @rippedwire01 ask the people who play fifa and madden if a scoreboard is a legacy feature that induces toxicity. How fast EA would fall if all their titles have no scoreboard
- @SavedbyPing It's a "legacy feature," and apparently there are execs at EA and/or DICE who believe that scoreboards and all-chat hurt people's widdle fee-fees. Here's an idea, DICE. Look at the fact that in most of your previous BF games, you could suck and STILL CONTRIBUTE by healing, dropping ammo, spotting, pushing objectives, not giving a flying crap about your k/d and PLAYING THE OBJECTIVE.
I am living proof of this. 0.69 (nice!) k/d in BF4, probably about the same in BF2042, less in BF5. I suck at shooters. So what do I do? I grab Mutti Falck and revive/heal my * off even if I go 3-9 in a round. Or I grab Angel and fling armor packs like Frisbees. My k/d is butt, but I'll end up in the top half of the scoreboard on the older BFs (especially 4 and 1) just by being a team player and supporting the guys who are stone killers, up to and including taking a bullet for them.
THAT'S how you get over hurt feelings and people feeling inadequate. Make the game so that everybody has the potential to contribute and then make it up to them to realize that potential. Not force everybody into a system where heals/resupplies are worth basically no points and then hide that fact by hiding the scoreboard.- @AOD_moose004 This exactly.
The current scoring system is weird. I have zero feeling of accomplishment if i just played the objective and have a very bad K/D ratio. It was nice to be #1 in past games without a lot of kills. With 2042, you win ok but i still feel i dont know how well i did.
Its mind-blowing what this cancel culture did for games and movies. You cant do this, cant say that. I said it before, part of the game was a (fair) s*** talk. You always had that one idiot going the racial route or whatnot. So?
My other biggest grip: No Global chat. You know when you had a really good game, even when you lose, you would exchange a handshake ala "GG". Being competitive is fun. Imagine the soccer worldcup and all you know is that Brazil won but you have no idea who scored or how they got there. Is not exactly like that but feels a bit like it.
And mostly, im sick of yapping about this day in day out. Dice could easily make a blog post addressing all of these issues point by point. They decided to not do it. will they still add some stuff? im sure. Voice yeah. An alternative scoreboard? Maybe. But what's the point when these core elements coming in late? The excitement is gone. I still play because i still am a little in denial. Its not going to last forever....
