That's the same as blocking 2 spots or 2 people running inside Blasco's Infiltration Device (!!!) or spotting just 2 enemies yourself (!!!).
Even a damage assist would be 110 XP and a headshot 44 XP, so double the points from something so irrelevant to reward, compared to putting yourself at risk for helping out your team with lasering ... an underappreciated task.
This has to be temporary until the next update.
And other than that I saw multiple people talking about lasering for commander-seats in the comments of videos regarding the last patch on Youtube.
So this seems to be even more agreeable all-around.
I see DICE are slowly fixing Laser Designation, which is good. I do want them to fix the Lock on System (SOFLAM, Launchers, Vehicle missiles, etc.) as a whole since SOFLAM won't be useful if no one is able to lock on without any issues like foliage blocking progress to inconsistent time to Lock on.
Laser designation on the Commander seat would be great to have a 4th option to create one and would be better than having the standard spotter or even thermal.

Exactly and even the other issues mentioned more towards the beginning of this thread.
I hope this doesn't get overlooked, since it's actually a quite comprehensive list and gives a great overview of the problems.
And I can imagine that lasering for commander seats could be implemented pretty quickly and would immediately give a boost to the mechanic.

I just watched the new Dev-Update and was a bit disappointed to see nothing on gameplay changes or specifically lasering.
Maybe this just comes with more updates closer to season 6, but the expectations for more significant improvements to lasermarking are very high.

I expect news about laser targeting in the near future (eventually before season 6 starts)
Especially the commander seat should get an Upgrade e.x soflam because it is not rewarding if you User the commander place and it is very boring. You can see by the people in vehicles. The commander seat is More likely to be empty than other.

Well we got the new patch info, but nothing on laser-designating.
It's been quite some time since that rather irrelevant "laser-assist" was added and still nothing ...

Well I've been waiting and hoping for further updates, but even with some interesting patches nothing has changed for lasering.
The token "laser-assist" we got seems more like a slap in the face considering the improvenents that would be needed...

Update 6.0 now and we got nothing to improve laser-targeting.
The new warning for vehicles, if they just get lasered is even a nerf to lasering in general.
Why has there been no improvement?
Even the 10 XP we got for lasering (only if the vehicle is destroyed and it doesn't scale with however many people were inside) is honestly disrespectful.
It would need only some easy changes to make it somewhat close to BF4 as a prime example AND even though the problems were obvious since launch AND have been adressed here extensively ... we still have to wait ...

Coming back to this I'm pretty speechless.
Like they haven't done anything.
Not a single point here was given feedback or consideration or has been implemented at least to test it.
