The Question of Aim Assist
Okay, I'm finally putting this here, because I am really, really at a loss. How powerful is the console aim assist? From my POV, it might as well be a legalised aimbot. Currently, I have to resort...
Aim assist now feels on par with what ALL controller users have had since BF1.
The current aim assist is unremarkable for anyone that's been playing BF with a controller for the past six years. This includes PC players with controller. (I played BF1 on PC with controller and this aim assist feels similar)
Aim assist doesn't go for headshots as you imply. And it also has nothing to do with you 'landing' 30 shots for no damage. Dying behind cover has more to do with latency than aim assist.
Aim assist provides a significant - and arguably unfair - advantage in some situations. But there are also many situations where there is no aim assist or it doesn't work well and KBM has the significant - and arguably unfair - advantage.
There's also the small percentage of PC and Console 'controller' users using KBM adapters as a workaround for KBM+Aim Assist.
Neither side will ever see it as fair. I think this crossplay arrangement was a mistake.
