The Question of Aim Assist
Okay, I'm finally putting this here, because I am really, really at a loss. How powerful is the console aim assist? From my POV, it might as well be a legalised aimbot. Currently, I have to resort...
This might go againsts of my current article trying to get consoles to console only cross-play, but the PC community really needs the console players right now, even with their assisted aiming.
In my opinion the real question would be this, you can only pick one.
A) The game stays the same and you get matches with actual people.
B) Most matches are now bots and they really are aim-bot because they are bots...
Basically I would just overlook it or join the controller users as it's not going anywhere. The controller industry is a huge profitable business and Microsoft and/ or Sony will make sure it continues.
"The PC community really needs the console players"
This is a fallacy that is out there (without proof that I have seen) but in my personal experience the lobbies are split about 50/50 in regard to PC vs. console. I play mostly the 128 player Conquest mode and check almost every match just out of curiosity. I don't think either community "needs" the other as it seems pretty evenly split, that being said I'm all for separate lobbies at this point.
I've asked this question before and haven't gotten a straight answer that makes sense, so I'll try it here as well...
Why is the argument with splitting PC and Console always centric around aim assist and KBM? PC players griping about console aim assist aren't realizing that PCs that use a controller get aim assist too. Console players griping about PC players don't realize that a lot of PC players user controller and not KBM. KBM on this title is total sheet....it lags, it's not consistent in movement and stutters so often it's not worth playing. KBM isn't all it's cracked up to be. So the real issue in my opinion is NOT console vs. PC or aim assist vs. KBM, but about the net code issue between the way to game parses console play and PC play. Other titles have crossplay, KBM, Controller and every combination known to humans and aren't having an issue. IT'S NOT THE PLATFORM, IT'S THE GAME!!!!

Yeah I agree, I mostly play 128 player Conquest and my experience is very similar to yours.
Sadly I don't think DICE will do anything different at this stage regarding separate lobbies.
