The Question of Aim Assist
Okay, I'm finally putting this here, because I am really, really at a loss.   How powerful is the console aim assist? From my POV, it might as well be a legalised aimbot. Currently, I have to resort...

You can see for yourself !Hahahahaha ok...I wouldn't take that video to mean that aim assist is aimbot. Skilled players can do that believe it or not.
That video is pretty damning. He says he is even surprised by how easily he is able to acquire & track enemies, which also touches on the TTK aspect as well. Compile that with most Consoles being on WiFi and most (good) PCs hardwired, plus the performance differences between the machines, it’s clear that consoles are kinda lagging behind and need assists to compensate. However, is it a good idea to force console players to play at a higher level/force PC players to play at a handicapped level? If the differences between inputs/platforms could be mitigated more, we would see more consistent play. I do think the issues are greater than “Aim Assist”, there are just many variables that are causing inconsistencies. And we are all frustrated because nothing ever makes sense!
@ReBeLActual777 Net code /= aim assist...
AA is very weak
I feel we're looking at the wrong thing.
DIce has always had crap servers, net code, and lag comp.
In my experience, most people get killed by lag rather than aim assist or simply a better player. I am constantly being killed in 2 shots or less. While it seems to take me 5 shots at least to kill. so I usually die first. I'm on console, and I'm not the best, but it feels like aim assist works better against some than others. I feel this is due to latency.
