@SleepyWeasel68 Until they fix the net code / desync issue, I don’t know that anyone can definitively can confirm is Aim Assist is tweaked too high. I know as a console player you probably think it’s finally normal. I hope you can recognize that while console players claim all PC players hack, while the vast majority of them don’t. Right now PC players are being zippered by consoles more than ever, and only have this “aim assist” issue to point at. These assumptions about each other is an issue. I’m a PC player, and I have no idea what the cause is. I can tell you I die to the SFAR wielded by consoles more than any other thing in this game. There is just so much else broken that I don’t think we can just point at aim assist as the biggest problem. Seeing as how Dice has completely failed to address the desync, I expect the “PC / Console” war will continue.
@ATFGunr I guess this is where we agree to disagree. Aim Assist for me, does absolutely nothing… on or off. Everyone is watching videos of guys locking on to a player that’s 45*-90* degrees and the videos are BS. Frankly, I’d be questioning all these “Star” YouTubers as to why they have absolutely no recoil in their videos.
Really, I don’t even know why I chime in on these conversations. I don’t play against PC. If I wanted to play against PC, I would have bought a PC. I just take offense to ignorant people thinking that I’m running around and letting the game play itself.

- @SleepyWeasel68 I feel ya, it’s not fun to be accused of something you’re not doing. I don’t know what aim assist does, I do know that since the last patch I die to consoles more than I used to. We also see way worse desync and lag issues. So is aim assist basically an aimbot? Or is that console player have a higher ping than me so his bullets hit me as a packet rather than as they actually fired. My point is we don’t know. I have a feeling that if they fixed the darn game we’d see that aim assist isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Hell just having aim assist when mouse input is broken is not fair to anyone either. Players are way too fast to point the fingers at each other and not at Dice, where the issue lies.
- @ATFGunr PC players blaming console Aim Assist as being the be-all-end-all of good gaming is beyond parody. The litmus test is (short of buying one) is head on to a friend with a console and then play a few matches. I hear you that some PCs are feeling like they're being downed more often these days by consoles. Correlation is not causation. As I'd said before, there are other issues at play here.
I came in this topic expecting to see exaggerations on both sides and I was not disappointed.
- @RayD_O1 Thanks. In short form I’m saying that blaming each other distracts from the source of the problems, Dice. Maybe servers can’t handle crossplay. Maybe trying to get a game that can recognize inputs from three entirely different systems didn’t work. Maybe some consoles are using third party peripherals or maybe some PC players are hacking. The reality is we don’t know, so shouldn’t be hammering each other. The concept itself is applicable to a wider arena than just gaming, but it’s in gaming too.
