We gave seen numerous threads around how specialists will/have reduced teamplay. We have seen numerous threads on how the lack of a scoreboard will reduce PTFO (I still don't get that one but hey......

    @kregora I agree. They need to rebuild a squad management system, make it easier to play with friends, give us VOIP back and give us platoon support.

    They need to make it easier to play with friends, not harder. They also need to make it easier to make NEW friends, not harder/near impossible.

It would be nice, but I've also noticed that most random squads don't listen to basic commands anyhow.... such as attack "A", or defend "A"

The reason for this is pretty obvious, there is no incentive to issue orders as squad leaders or to follow the squad leaders' orders e.g., more XP for following/carrying out orders.

And we cannot manage the squad (kick, promote, demote etc. etc.) to make it more effective like we could in previous titles.

    I always thought the incentive was to focus your squad on a point for capture that would ultimately lead to victory.  Granted, I realize that I may have different  goals than others.  I don't care about XP, K/D or stats.... I simply want to win the match.

    Regardless,  I agree it would be great to have more controls.

      My point is there is no incentive as of right Irregardless of your playstyle or XP, KD stats or anything else.

      You're thrown into a random squad with people that you have no say over, with a "squad leader" picked randomly who may or may not have the same priorities that you do. If my squad leader is a hill-humping sniper on the edge of the map, why would I give a damn how he wants me to play? What about a squad leader who spends the whole match in a jet, what good is he?

      Without some sort of squad management paired with incentives the squad system in this series is completely ineffective and useless.

        All good points.  

        Here's some input to your questions with my own thoughts:

        • You're thrown into a random squad with people that you have no say over, with a "squad leader" picked randomly who may or may not have the same priorities that you do.

        Input:  For me, it's always a random squad since my friends do not play BF2042.   How would you suggest we select commander, being that a high level of the teams are random people who have no communication between each other?    The only priority for me is capturing flags, so if a commander is not calling them or I cannot take command I would switch squads myself pretty easily.

        Input:  If you don't feel the commander can lead from a distance, or if they are not commanding at all I would switch squads.

        • What about a squad leader who spends the whole match in a jet, what good is he?

        Input:  It depends if he is calling flags and directing his jet towards them.

                            Let me respond in a different way.   

                             What do you feel a squad commander should play like?   I assume there are many different play styles, but as long as they are directing the team that                          the best I can ask for today.

        I generally don't like the thought of banning / or kicking players from squads.   To much unknown with online play.
