2) Its part of their "fear of missing out" strategy... Get players back for a time because its "limited"
Unfortunately point 2 is backfiring because although Rush is definitely fun, its still a layer on top of broken fundamentals.
Also, don't bring logic into this. Logic left this game the moment they took whatever direction it is they wanted for this game.
Did you notice they reduced the number of featured from 5 to 3 as well.
They just realized they don't have enough active players for all the game modes lol.
Then they remove a staple of the BF franchise, Rush. Ridiculous.
- 4 years ago@Adamonic It's a good change, and I hope DICE is embarrassed that they need to do this since they made a bad game that can't retain players and are doing little to nothing to fix things.

@edgecrusherO0i know and they still are bleeding players. I didn't think it could get much lower than it has but week over week, they still are losing players. That also means nobody is buying the game and that will come out in the next earnings call which is going to be pure comedy. EA won't even mention BF2042 next time, which would be on par for how they treated it since December.

To put more focus on current available Featured Experiences, we’re reducing how many are featured at any time from 5 to 3We’ll now also rotate them twice a week (Monday and Thursday), instead of once
The first new rotation goes into effect this Thursday and will Feature 2042 TDM, 1942 vs 2042 Conquest, and Rush Hardcore- 4 years ago@CantGetRight I love how they frame it "to put more focus on current available Featured Experiences" translates to: "We don't have enough players to fill existing featured experiences and need to centralize them into fewer experiences at once."
Because that'll sure solve the population problems instead of like, you know, fixing the game and engaging with the community.
- kregora4 years agoSeasoned Ace@Adamonic I am pretty sure I mentioned this before, that I believe that the increase in number of Portal Featured Modes was unlikely, because it splits the already small community even more. So I think your observation is right, that they don't believe the player pool is big enough to supply 5 featured modes. So they reduced it to 3 and increased the rotation on the mode selection.
