@Daeyon-beIt would only die on the PC end if next-gen had console-only crossplay lol.
PC players have every advantage and are still crying 'aim-assist' in this game!? Plug in a controller or play it on console; don't know how strong aa is in Scrub of Duty but it's barely noticeable in 2042, which is fine. It ain't aimbot at all - ironically any form of aimbot (or anything suss) comes from occasional PC peanuts.
PC players need to accept the fact that simply having a PC doesn't mean you're immune from being owned by skilled console/controller players.
This doesn't make any sense...you say that PC players have every advantage (not sure what those are, so if you could expound) and then you say PC players need to accept that they can get owned by console and controller players. You're saying that you want to split off from PC and play only console because PC is over powered, (again not sure how) and then the next statement says that a good player on console can smoke a PC player. Which is it?
And I'm willing to bet you that there isn't enough console only players left to fill out enough 128 person servers to make it playable without AI...
PC champs have been crying 'aim assist' since the game launched even though aa has only been properly working for a couple of months now... and the aa itself is weak, which is good... there's really nothing else to say.

@Echo6EchoUpgraded PCs perform way better than consoles. Mouse and keyboard is much easier to use than controller. Gaming monitors are more ideal than TVs. Mixing PC with console players makes the multiplayer experience imbalanced. There's a lot more console players on both platforms than PC. These are all straight facts. Only makes perfect sense, nice try for pretending to be in denial though.

Yes gaming monitors are more ideal than a TV. And that's where it ends. Now here's my response. I'm willing to bet quite a bit that most of the PCs playing this are sub-par to the latest gen consoles for THIS game. PCs are expensive as hell to maintain and upgrade. When you buy a new processor/board, etc. together and it's outdated in a week. A PC is optimized to do a LOT of things and a console is optimized to PLAY GAMES. There is so much going on inside a PC besides the game. So, I'm going to have to say that "better performance" is a non-starter in that aspect. I will agree PCs have more "choices" but PCs also have a LOT of overhead that a console just doesn't.
Next, Consoles output via HDMI right? Why are you not using a gaming monitor on your console and plugging it into a TV? That's a choice YOU make, not a limitation of the console. Beyond that, Keyboard and mouse MIGHT be easier, but I'm not sure because I can't use a controller. I do know for a fact that A LOT of PC users, use a controller. I also know that OTHER TITLE players compete against each other on KBM and Controller and it's not an issue. Much the opposite in fact. Most of the argument here is "console only play because KBM is superior OR PC players complain about aim assist." I say that's not a real argument to turn off cross play because PCs for the most part don't have a real advantage and a LOT of PC players use controller too. So, IF keyboard and mouse is so powerful, WHY do a lot of players use it? And who cares who's crying about aim assist because it's not a real reason to end crossplay?

I don't consider PCs to be expensive and/ or hard to maintain, on the contrary.
Seasonic Platinum XP2 660 power supply $100 in 2012 | EBAY currently $40.EVGA GTX 1070 GPU in 2017 $190 | EBAY $130 - $160.
ASUS B450 Strix Gaming F motherboard $85 Micro Center 2019 | EBAY currently $90.
Inland 256 GB Nvme SSD $25 | EBAy currently $14.
Samsung 970 EVO pLus 2TB $140 | EBAy currently $180.Ryzen 3600X $140 2019 | EBAY currently $110.RipJaw 32GB RAM $100 Micro Center 2019 | EBAY currently $69.Windows 11 Pro $30
Thermaltake Case $50 2017 | N/ASo basically if I sold everything on EBAY I would be close to around $600 to $650 before shipping and fees. Basically I upgrade a part, I sell the old one to recoup some of the new cost. It's true console players can do the same, but not nearly the same return.
Also not only was I able to game on this personal computer, I've also over the years made tens of thousands back from making and posting music.
Also it's not true that personal computers are optimized to do a lot of things, but the option is there to do a lot of things. Most make a personal computer fit their own needs by disabling what they don't want through removing and/ or disabling services.
I'm not saying something is best for anyone, just stating it's in my opinion that computers aren't expensive and/ or hard to maintain. To each their own I always say.
One main reason why I sold my Xbox Series X was the price to play online for $40 a year or so, and then the game companies that don't update their titles, but try to sell remasters instead.
I would honestly love to play Battlefield 2042 on a console, but it couldn't have PC cross-play and most definitely can't be stuck to 60 hz. There is absolutely no way I can go back to 60 hz, nope.

@Popa2caps You're right, if you want to take the time to replace a piece at a time, use outdated or used parts, sure you can build a PC on the cheap. However, if you go out and build an Up-To-Date, new PC it's 3 times the amount of a new, in box console. (or more) That was my point. I bought all new parts for mine a while back, didn't need the case or PS, but still have a pretty penny in it.
I don't understand your "PC isn't optimized to do lots of different things" statement. Mine will play games, run video and music editing software, stream to the internet, browse the internet, run teamspeak and discord, run the 8 different software installs I need for work, run a backup of itself, and much more. A console is centric around running a game. What am I missing?
