I feel your frustration, yes, the new EA Anti cheat has blocked any program that hooks into the game from what I can tell. MSI Afterburner, RTSS and Reshade are just 3 of them, there are more that are affected. Any program that can hook into the game can in theory, inject code. EA can possibly white list the programs, but it may be a wile before they feel the need.

And yes, they need to reduce the number of players to start a server.

    I'm reaching a point of profound frustration, and I fear that my passion for this game may dwindle if these issues are not promptly and effectively addressed.

      @KNlGHTMARE You’re not alone, and hopefully enough forum users also select “me too” as it’s a tracked metric. I use Ryzen Master and ASUS GPU tweak to boost my PC performance in 2042 as it’s so horribly optimized. I’m just waiting for some kind of random ban for using those legitimate programs.

    @sk1lld I wonder why some other overlays still work. GeForce experience, AMD ReLive, Ghub, Discord and Overwolf still work fine.

    Im not sure what RTSS or Reshade is, but monitoring such as RivaTuner can be replaced by built in GPU soft. I don't think many people are playing and staring at their PC vitals the entire time.

      I'm guessing that the programs you mention are whitelisted and some you mention are overlays that don't hook into the game. I see some programs that aren't working in tech support. Reshade is a software that allows you to increase sharpness and colors and RTSS "Revatuner Statistics Server" Is required for MSI Afterburner to work. All I know is all 3 programs hook into the game and don't work. So, I'm guessing EA is limiting games that hook into the game, like I said a guess only.

        @sk1lld I am by no means trying to stir the pot or create an argument... But do you see these things as an advantage that pc has over console? That pc players can tweak their graphics in ways that consoles cannot.
