With all due respect.
We will not get a finished next BF game sooner if 2042 dies now.
It needs to hold the fort until DICE can finally deliver a solid game for the first time in ~6 years.
You can however trust that most people will drop 2042 unless it has some good extra content down the line.
One can tell the declining interest by how fewer posters are regulars around here compared to 1 year ago
