This needs to be top priority! Stop the cheats!

So reading techradar's website and came accross this.

I really hop you guys at DICE are seeing this and acting on it as this has totally ruined other games .. warzone being the biggest

If you are wondering how EAC will work in BF 2024, just look at the games that already use it and it is not the magic solution that will remove all cheating, it just makes life a little harder for the cheaters. And one thing is for sure, these sites that boast that they have not had bans in years, that suite will be broken now and I hope that those who intend to buy these cheats realize that they themselves will be cheated as these sites will not be able to live up to what they promise and just want to sell as many pre-orders as possible before EAC is launched.

    Quote from that article.

"With online streaming now the norm, many "pro" gamers rise to stardom by using hacks to trick their audience into thinking they’re more skilled than they actually are. Some get caught, but the more sophisticated hacks become, the harder it is for developers to determine whether foul play is involved."

This is honestly so true now. Before people would cheat because they didn't have the skill and/ or time to get better, now it's to make a ton of cash before everyone finds out.

EDIT, I also don't think whoever wrote this article on that site knows what they're talking about. Quote " With online streaming now the norm, many "pro" gamers rise to stardom by using hacks to trick their audience into thinking they’re more skilled than they actually are. Battlefield has never, not once been a competitive shooter.

  • @SirBobdk I honestly don't see this as a last hope, this is probably the only realistic hope, and not BF-exclusive.
Even valorant's system isn't enough if someone throws enough money at it, so in the end, community policing will probably be "better" than any automated alternative. EAC will catch the freeware users, and guilds policing their own servers will have to get the smarter ones. With all the potential drawbacks that system has (And it worked fairly well in 3/4 imo)
  • @Popa2caps This was true back in 3/4 as well with the (then) youtube crowd, it's just gotten *so* much worse as the market expanded and twitch also became a major potential moneymaker.

Conversations about cheating or anti-cheat, not something we allow on AHQ. So I will be closing down the topic.
