But it got me thinking. What sort of person jumps into BF2042 to do this? I certainly have my strong opinions here and will reserve them so they remain in my brain (e.g. not good things to say)

I think the same way about snipers that sit in the back of spawn, miss 90% of their shots but think their one headshot they hit by chance makes them good.

You arent fooling anyone. You have 68 kills with the Huron total. Good pilots easily surpass that in one game. You likely didn’t do enough damage for the other team to care to take you out. Go against some the the Lis players I know and you’d get knocked out instantly.

Attack aircraft were decreased to 1 per side in season one which hardly helped the player count. Aircraft counts were increased in season 3 which coincides with the largest increase in players the game has seen. Quit trying to project you being farmed by aircraft onto everyone else. It’s beyond pathetic. The low player count is due to DICE’s lack of content and horrendous playlists.

Even if i have double playtime more than you have. You have:
Objective Time
5h 56m (we can add up to ~15hours to even with my playtime)

And me:
Objective Time
46h

Wich makes me better teamplayer than you. And you have 91 huron kills, with quick calculations, you have ~22 kills per match. That means either you camp with helo or you died.

EDIT: Oh and objective defended i have more than 3k, means i'm at least looking at objectives. You with 500 don't much?

        After having skimmed through this thread I can say a few things.

        1. If a team of either 32 or 64 players is willingly ignoring an Attack-Heli to play as it likes then they deserve to be farmed without mercy or respite. The average BF player-base has entirely adopted the idea of "this is a teamplay game so someone else will deal with it its not my job" and it is time for either of two things to happen. These players remain crop to be farmed by better players or they get their act together and start thinking and breathing at the same time. This is not a BR where everyone plays for themselves, this is not COD where the average idea of "teammates" stops at the fact that you just can't shoot them dead.
        2. 2042 has by far some of the most prolific ways of dealing with any Aircraft with the sole exception being the former "Transport helis" now called Gunships.
          1. Use the Wildcat with either 30mm or 35mm cannons to shread most anything as long as you are not letting the guns overheat like a *. Additionally do not rely on the lock-on AA missiles. They are a waste of your time and don't forget to add the Flak pod to your loadout as additional DMG to be dealt to flying enemies
          2. LATV and the hovercraft have access to the 20mm Flak gun so equip it and call them in and pounce on unsuspecting vehicles. Feel free to move the vehicle to stay unpredictable.
          3. The MAV has the 50mm that deals a truckload of DMG to vehicles in general while being the most heavily armed vehicle in the game. Additionally, the MAV has the 40mm canister pod that can snipe pilots out of the Nightbird if you hit the windshield and also deals respectable DMG out at ranges beyond 70m if you can lead enough.
          4. The Brawler has access to the APDS dealing a lot of DMG to any vehicle as well as the 20mm Flak on top of having APS nullifying any rockets shot by choppers or the 50mm
          5. Tanks can oneshot any heli and plane with the exception being the "Gunships". It's not difficult once you get the hang of it. Every time I play 2042 I get at the very least 2-4 Helis with the MBTs
          6. Use the TOR. If you can not kill a heli with the TOR at range then there is sadly nothing I can do for you it's brain-dead easy and I am pretty sure my grandmother can do it if I explain it to her once.
        3. Use the M5 with a bit of practice you can learn to use the launcher to dumbfire at choppers especially less skilled pilots who hover a lot and will die like flies to that

        Should you still get farmed by a heli after all that advice I again regret to inform you that there is nothing anyone can do to help you.
