- Man_iLoveFishing4 years agoSeasoned Ace@CantGetRight Well, it's quite hard to think about. I mean how true it is, we don't know. But yet again it might be possible, since he does have some developer contacts from EA or Dice? But I truly wouldn't be surprised of disappointment tho.
- @CantGetRight If I were a betting man, Hazard Zone will go F2P.

"Disapointed" means that they had greater expectations from releasing an unfinished game that is centered around the knockoff of another game.
This means that they have poor understanding of the technical parts of game develpment, the people the game is for, and gaming in general

At this point, it must be a nightmare over at EA. If you go free to play, you have to deal with all of the sales. Whether that's refunds, giving players "free" content, etc, I don't see that ending well. They could go back and rework the game, but that's not realistically possible with time, money, and resources. I have to be honest, at this point, I'm not even sure what the best route is to take. Dice dug themselves a pretty massive hole and when they saw that hole getting bigger, they double downed on it and dug deeper. At this point, I don't see any way out without it getting ugly.
Can you imagine paying 100$ and it goes free to play looooooool …….that’s how you get people on side well done loool.
Why do I get the impression dice hasn’t been completely honest with EA about the state of the game!
- @emerson1975 Odds are they were, EA more than likely didn't listen to the ground floor devs.

I wouldn’t even play it if it was free.
Sadly I bought it at launch. No wait, I actually preordered! Jokes on me!!

EA's probably disappointed because they want a live service platform to sell cosmetics on, but they need a large player base in order to make that profitable.
Now they're talking about f2p in order to boost player numbers and prop up their live service business model.

What I can see happening, hazard zone going F2P and EA Play getting the rest of the game.
EA Can possibly increase the player base as well as get a few extra people signed up for their sub service.

Everything about this screams of someone making decisions that has absolutely no idea about actual gaming and is just throwing out ideas about what they think they know of gamers.
