That after the latest game update then EA/DICE nerfed the AA weapon for infantries even further. So even if you are lucky to get one of your just 3 AA Stingers to hit any of the air vehicles, then you typically now just get a 15 XP points damage award while the air vehicle is still in fine shape to continue its flying around and meat grinding of infantry on the ground.
