The other major benefit is the fact that you only have to wait to join a server once.
Then you just stay on that same server for as long as you like playing through the whole map rotation. No more back and forth to the lobby which wastes so much time, and no more getting put into the same map.
Playing in the afternoons on PC (UK), I regularly see 10 to 20 humans per side and the rest bots. Some regions may not yet have many players with cross play off.

That’s great, and for me just further proof that it’s crossplay that’s broke. Not a shocker really. I don’t love fighting bots either. There’s not any challenge to it and farming is just not the same as playing a chaotic round with real peeps who are playing their arses off. I have noticed the odd issue with Off that I believe is based on other players being from out of region. I’ll have a usual ping of 27 and a server latency of 27 up to 29. Occasionally it’ll jump to 44 and I know another player is here and they’re from out of region. The server is trying to compensate for their connection. Usually the worst it gets is an ALAT of 35 which is fine. Higher than that and it gets laggy AF. I think a browser would solve this issue as I could find a server I get a good connection to and they could limit out of region pings.
