to change a team/squad

Guys, why can't we change a team or a squad during a match (Portal, AoW, Coop)? So that we could try to play defenders or attackers. Or to join a team/squad with friends. What is going on with BF? This is just an elemental thing in online games...

    @Spitfire82RUS You can change squad. Go to the ‘scoreboard’ (list of players in game) and highlight your own name. Then on the right side of the screen you will see the option ‘change squad’ pop up. For ps5 you need to press ‘square’ to change squad. You can’t choose wich squad, you’ll get randomly dropped in a new squad. Its stupid i know, but its something… changing teams is not possible at the moment. I sure hope they’ll change this in the future cause it s*cks always defending in rush!!!

    @cornybbq2 I played some more, I still haven't defended. Only ever attacked. And the other night the defenders were on their game and we couldn't even get out of our spawn. I'll trade ya. Ha ha. Are we stuck for life in our opposite roles?

    @TeamJuiceBox Lol i know right… but its really crappy dude, i’m a rush player… but i find myself playing conquest of ages last couple of days cause i always get dropped in on the defending team in rush. Its a real gamebreaker for me… DICE! EA! Fix this… or are you guys already on your christmas holiday???

    @cornybbq2Hello.

    Yeah, I found this button "change a squad" but it does not work 🙂

    I click the right button of the mouse (I play PC) and nothing happens. I am still in the same squad.

    I tried in Portal mode (playing with bots), tried a few times in AoW/Breakthrough with online players, and NOTHING has happened 🙂


    Playing Portal with bots is more sad because I am always ALONE in squad. And once I get killed I have to cross almost all the map to get fight again.

    @Spitfire82RUS It only works when you are dead… so you have to wait until you die. Then go in the menu and change squad.

    thanks, right now this works.

    But in Portal, playing with bots, I change squads but I can't join the squads with bots. I am still alone in different squads and have no one to deploy at

    @Spitfire82RUS That’s sad … there’s alot in this game that needs work. Its miles away from being a good game. When you pause the game there should be a squad/team management option for tweaking things like this… the UI is still horrible and not clear at all in this game.

    Hi @nativepride65 This thread hasn't been active since December 2021 so I'm going to have to close it down.

    To answer your question though, you can bring up the scoreboard by holding pause on console or the Tab key on.
