To fix the player issue..... IMPORTANT

The game needs a SERVER BROWSER.

The game is DEAD and beyond salvageable if this PROBLEM is not addressed ASAP.

The only chance of the game limping through updates/fixes and Q&A's is to FIX the issue of people, "Waiting on other players to join..."

I log into 2042, have to sit there 30-40 mins and NEVER get to play cause it just sits at the waiting for players screen. So I just close the game and go play BF4.

DICE/EA - YOU REALLY NEED TO READ THIS, AND REMEDY THIS ASAP! You -MUST MUST MUST- ADD A SERVER BROWSER AND MAKE IT THE FIRST THING YOU DO, OR THERE IS NO SAVING THIS GAME.

Exactly, without persistent servers and map rotations a browser is just kinda meh.

To have a chance to get this fixed soon, please upvote or post in this thread: https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Concrete-and-simple-to-implement-proposal-that-would-improve/m-p/11336398#M92408 and with a bit (a lot) of luck, they implement that soon. It would bring us the persistent servers with map rotation NOW and make it VERY easy to have those servers to show up in the existing Portal server browser as well.

I mean we've been giving DICE feedback about the matchmaking system since they first intoduced it in BFV. They ignored all that feedback and gave us the exact same matchmaking system in BF2042.
That's why I say you can't listen to DICE's words. You can only listen to their actions.

And that is why I posted a concrete proposal, that we know for a fact that it is easy to implement (because they did that for Rush and other modes already, so they can definitely not come with the excuse: sorry, this takes too much time/effort).

I would say, from how they respond to this proposal and from the outcome (read: if they implement it or not) we can judge if it is worth sticking around at all.
