Too many campers

There are so many campers including vehicles. Trolling a camper is funny but I would prefer to have more active players. TOR and Wildcat camping at spawn survive for a long time without doing much job compared to MBT and EBLC-Ram.

Please stop encouraging players to camp. Please stop making campers feel themselves strong. Rorsch Mk-4, TOR and Wildcat 30mm AA are bad examples.

Edit:

I intended to talk about campers with long range weapons.

Campers are just part of the game. I just don't like camping from uncaps or out of bounds areas. Manifest defenders on BT can basically sit on a hilltop with 100% visibility and very limited ability to counter them besides aircraft.

They should make you immune in uncaps, but also prevent you from any actions other than movements (no weapons, etc).

Personally I used to dislike camping snipers, and people that sat in the home base area tucked away inside an AA vehicle. But, I have got used to vit over the years and my opinion on this now is well, they paid their money the same as you, so they play it like they want to.

There really isn't anything you can do about it. It's kind of like free speech, you may not agree with what they are saying, but they are entitled to say it anyway just like you are. If you don't like it then just look for another game, thats what I do.

I remember some years ago there was someone that rented a server for "Sniper Only" game play. Funnily enough it was always busy!  I found it incredibly boring, but, each to their own I suppose.

I feel what we have to remember here is that this is a Game, it's supposed to be for entertainment thats all.

    My suggestion:

Double the number of smoke grenades we can carry without sacrificing gadget slots.

All of a sudden, it is easier to get past gauntlets of campers

that leads to inescapable spawn traps

There have always been a lot of people playing Battlefield that are masters at keeping that K/D positive every match by any means necessary, but they are also terrible teammates.  I can't count how many times I have been on an objective in Breakthrough that was already neutralized and half way captured.  Only teammates that were sitting somewhere off of the cap/def area that we needed to push in at that moment to be successful refuse to leave their spots and help.

I think that the amount of spotting and general chaos in 2042 is making people playing even more defensively than we are used to from previous titles.

The map-design is a disaster in general. The maps have large areas without cover, but also have lots of 'camping-spots'. I think the maps have too much verticality, that just encourages camping too much. Manifest and Stranded are good examples of maps that are often 'ruined' by 'roof-campers' (cranes/containers/ship).
