@EdwinSpanglerA lot of people voicing our displeasure want the game to do good and have provided lots off good feedback and suggestions in a non toxic way. (see linked thread) But how much of this feedback or issues have been acknowledged by ea/dice, or how many of the communities suggestions have they taken into account? A lot of these suggestions are wanted by a large portion of the community. Besides a few bug fixes, (granted a lot were priority due to game breaking) 64 player modes, some bloom improvements and this "scoreboard." It doesn't seem like much as been improved upon, especially in terms of the core design. (which is the main thing for many) Also we don't really know what they are looking at because there has been little communication.
So people feel like they're not being heard, and when that happens they get angry, then toxic. They're currently relying on people like Tom Henderson for bf news instead of official channels or those that made the game just to figure out what is going on.

Unfortunately communication is definitely not one of DICE's strongpoints especially over the last few years. In the "good old days" there was a much better flow of information.
Consequently there was a better community spirit when you felt the devs were actually listening and responding to forum posts etc.
- 4 years ago@RayD_O1 They had some good communications a few years ago, I can´t remember if it where for BF1 or BFV when they had the can-ban board with the tickets wich everyone, even we had access to read.
We could go in and see where in the progress bug-fixes where and other issues they where keeping track of, devs could leave comments wich we could read. I would really like to have that transparency back.
I work as a developer myself using the same kind of system, called Leankit in wich we and our customer keeps track on our work.- RayD_O14 years agoHero

Like you, I would love to have that level of transparency back too.
I really believe if players input / suggestions were collected and responded to by the dev's there would be a lot less negativity in this community.
If we felt our input was being considered / acted upon and dev's gave us the heads up on their progress we would not be so frustrated.
- ElliotLH4 years agoHero+@Blackidus It was BFV that had the Trello board (think that's what it was called anyway). That was nice to have for sure.

I think in the very early days I recall DICE dev's were much more active on the forums and they would step in with answers on forum threads.
Occasionally they would drop little titbits / teasers of exciting things they were working on.

Incidentally, it's kanban (unless you were making a joke, in which case I tip my hat to you).
