Transport Nerf Talk
EA / Dice, I'm probably in the minority here (in fact I'm fairly certain) but one of my favorite things to do in the game is to fly the transports. The Super-Hind and Condor specifically. I'm extreme...
@DametheFamePeople want the Hind and the Condor to be TrAnSopOrTs aka glorified taxis so they can make the same bone headed play "pushing the objective" when in reality they're only feeding the enemy team and reducing the ticket count.
In Breakthrough specifically good Hind/Condor pilots make or break most matches. The sole reason why good pilots are able to dominate in the current state of the game is because there are no natural counters (jets) that exist in the mode anymore.
Remember back on release when the Bolte was in the light transport category, folks used to use them as mobile AA using the rockets and the 30mm cannon to take out the Hind/Condor.
I remember when the NTW was actually a powerful AV option but that was also nerfed into the ground. Even the railgun was a strong counter to the Hind/Condor, but that was also nerfed into the ground.
Breakthrough as a whole needs the vehicle slots between attackers and defenders rebalanced. The Bolte needs to go back to the light transport category. (there's more than enough tools in the game to kill the Bolte that didn't exist upon release). It has no reason to be in the same slot as the CAV Brawler and the MAV. Jets also have to be reintroduced into the game mode.
If folks don't like playing a game mode with vehicles upgrades then there's always Rush. It has stock vehicles and people tend to play them as if they're braindead anyways.
Every option should have pros and * and tradeoffs. With Transport Helos, there are very few tradeoffs.

The Hind/Condor is only as good as the pilot and capable gunners. You can be the best pilot in the world, but if your gunners are trash you aren't doing much damage to the enemy team.
Precisely. If people aren't hitting their shots I can dodge 30 Lis rockets in a round and it won't make a bit of difference for the team
I disagree, but perhaps that's because I fly them far more than the average person. They are not invincible. First off having 2 engineers is EXTREMELY rare. Most people don't want to dedicate themselves to sitting in a transport seat with a repair tool for an entire match.
Even with engineers, killing a Wildcat with the proper load out is extremely difficult even for pilots with the experience that I have.
There are games when the opposing team has used combinations of LATV's, Wildcats and ground forces that had keyed in on me that it's been nearly impossible for me to be effective.
The transports are where they should be and the entire point of Breakthrough is SUPPOSED to be slightly slanted towards the attacking team with vehicles. It's being a defending team that's up against stacked odds and overcoming.
But I play Rao and keep vehicles in check on Breakthrough Defense and my teams tend to hold so 🤷🏾♂️
