A feature that was widely requested but ended up missing from most of the Battlefield releases in recent years has been the possibility to play completely offline versus bots. This drastically increases the value of a game purchase because as a gamer you're not LOCKET OUT of the game in case you experience connectivity issues or there are problems with server capacity, especially at launch. I'm asking if after the game is fully downloaded, up to date and validated on Steam or the Epic Store on PC it's possible to launch and play a game against bots locally on your PC without a connection to the servers ?I don't care if I can't level up during offline play I just don't want to be locked out of the game. This is the main reason I've been avoiding Call of Duty in recent years as there even the slightest connectivity issue and I'm completely kicked out to the main menu and locked out from the game. TRUE OFFLINE bot support was a great feature in recent Star Wars Battlefront games. It was highly appreciated and it made sense to buy the game even as a single player focused gamer.

I hope they maintain the trend of the last two Battlefront games and include true offline play with bots.It would be of great value even for players with very good connections as it would ensure that on launch day nobody is entirely locked out of the game because of the servers being overwhelmed. I'd take being able to play versus bots offline any day versus not being able to start the game at all as was the case with the Modern Warfare 2019 or Outriders where the game wasn't playable at all for more than week after it launched.

Look at VG/27 article about 2042. For the first time in a long time the OG Bot Mode will be coming back. As a kinda sub in for them not having a single player campaign. Plus you can play with friends against AI. And you will still progress your character and weapons while playing this mode too. And supposedly it will be all the maps you can play in multiplayer as well. SO EXCITED definitely a buy for me now. Was really scared when they said just multiplayer because I only play it sometimes and really only played it a lot on BF1 and Battlefront 2.

@raffifasaro This mode would just be an added value in addition to multiplayer and would provide excellent replayability.
Many people want to continue playing purchased games years after release when servers are already shut down. Otherwise it’s like just renting a video game for a limited time.

Because in recent years Call of Duty has been an absolutely terrible experience on PC because of the "always online" garbage that BattleNet enforces. If the servers are overwhelmed for any reason you can't even play the campaign.
A lot of PC players are also very unhappy with the fact that in CoD on console bot matches are available completely offline while on PC the slightest connection interruption kicks you out of the game with nothing working.
I can't think of a better opportunity to show Activision how it's done and just how much value offlline bots can bring.
Like others already said, having offline bots can be better than having a campaign --> much better replay value.

Just to be clear, we will be able to roll solo and or with friends only, with AI enemies as well as AI allies? No being forced to roll the big multi-player maps with anyone and everyone?
If so, that.....will...be friggin fantastic!! 🤘🤘

You can play solo against 127 bots or with your mates against the bots
