The game will be completely online only. You wil be aible to play the game solo or with friens with bots. But you need to be connected to the internet. If not you can't play.
I did some reserearch and on the official playstation store you can see the page states the game needs a constant internet connection to play.
If you look to the offical xbox cover art. It also claims you need a constant internet connection and xbox live subscription.
And for pc it will be the same case.
I find this sad. So the game will eventually not be playable anymore.
They confirmed it wil be a live service game. If it is stated on the box it wil be online only...
@tyl0413And if I look at the PSN deathloop page. It states online play is optional. So that means the game can be played offline.
But again on battlefield 2042 it states online play is requiered. So it wil be online only I am afraid ☹️
If the game is online only then I'm probably going to skip it entirely, I'm sorry.
I already have too many "live service" games that take up space on my SSD and are not playable at all if the servers are busy. And they can be busy for days at a time at launch or whenever a major update is rolled out. I've been fooled by this too many times already.
Just look at the complete ship wreck that was the Outriders launch where people were essentially locked out of the game they purchased for more than three weeks after the launch date because of overwhelmed servers.

No offline mode with bots = no purchase. Sorry.
Having an offline mode with bots would be a STATEMENT directed at Activision. It would say that Battlefield treats PC players better than CoD does.
@Strelok_1284I agree with you. There is no need to buy game separately if it will be online only. Who want to play can just subscribe to EA Play service. In any case you just rent a game, when EA will decide to shut down servers, there will be nothing left.
EA has so far failed to reply to a simple question, if game will be playable offline. Developers at DICE take years of hard work to develop such amazing models, mechanics, graphics that Battlefield games contain, just to be everything dumped after several years and there is nothing left for fans to keep playing this masterpiece.
Unfortunately i won't be able to buy this game, If there wont be a simple offline mode. And it is quite sad that this is probably where my Battlefield veteran collection also end.
My preference is offline option with bots....that would definitely be ideal. But, I'm still getting the game and will enjoy the hell out of it...until whenever.
As long as the roll all maps etc with only friends, and with and against only AI, doesn't change. 🤘
