Sounds like specialists will be categorized into classes and have weapon restrictions. So Falck would obviously go into the medic class and probably not be able to equip rocket launchers anymore.
I think it's a step in the right direction for encouraging more team play. I say this as someone who was originally happy about the idea of being able to equip any weapon on my character. But after experiencing it in 2042, it feels like the gameplay experience got hollowed out without classes.
