I know that Portal just dropped, and it looks amazing. There are two maps from Battlefield 1942 that really need a remaster with 128 players. Omaha Beach, and Operation Market Garden. The possibilities within Portal would be awesome. Just my two cents from a long time BF fan. Thanks
BF V was a big disappointment except pacific maps. It's really good to see 2 epic maps from BF 1942 in Portal. I like WW2 battle more than modern battle. I want DICE to release a real WW2 game after BF 2042. It could be BF 1942 remaster or with a new name. It should has great atmosphere. We don't want to see stupid outfits and elite soldiers on Battlefield this time. Everything looks mormal in Portal.
As BF1942 OG player, I would rather prefer to see Telemark, Hellendoorn, Operation Baytown, Stalingrad, Kharkov, Gazala and Tobruk.
Conquest assault maps were the best back in the days and I hope this time we can customize the spawn system to only forward base points and APC and include waves of 20 seconds. This way everyone will be able to play together and not be dispatched on the entire map.
But I have to say that I would also prefer them to not only remaster but also add new content such as M1903 Sprinfield for US, M1891/30 Mosin Nagant (scoped), SVT40 and PPSh41 for USSR classes.
It was kind of weird back in the days to not have these iconic weapons.
