Will battlefield 2042 have UK servers ? I stopped playing V when i could only connect to german ones and be a bullet magnet for our european friends.

@pvyoddball4573 We need our own servers in the U.K. or Ireland again.There wasn’t enough interest in BFV so they shut em down and pooled the players. They did the same in North America.If there is a large audience for 2042 I’m hoping we get them back. Closer is always better for latency.

I am located in Frankfurt, and my ping difference between Frankfurt and London is 11ms i doubt thats doing much of a difference. For you too mate.

You can put all the info you like about ping etc.... we had the same nonsense in fifa, they put in a UK server and my win ratio improved, they took away the UK server in battlefield V and my ping went from 14 to 25, my K/D ratio went down and the games were not as enjoyable, a server in your own country is better than connecting to one thats not, i dont need graphs to tell me, i trust my own experience.

My KD ratio went south when they removed the UK servers so i stopped playing, its just not the same, EA put the UK servers back in for fifa 21, my average wins went up along with two divisions increase, if they do not add UK ones for this iteration of battlefield then its going to be a pass from me.

Hate to break it to you OP but I highly doubt the servers moving 400 miles across the sea is making that much difference.My average ping from the best 5 UK servers on BF4 right now: 21msMy average ping from the best 5 German servers: 25msUnless you're on a high end PC monitor your display will add more latency than that.

@BURGERKRIEGI would expect upcoming technical and beta testing are going to be the testbed for leasing more server space / locations, at least initially.

@pvyoddball4573 I do not see any problem to play on German servers from UK..I'm from UK and was playing even asian servers with 200 ping but still playable.. 😉

Agreed @Ievarijums ,
Though lower latency is always better for any FPS gaming, then UK players on German or Dutch hosted servers will all be able to do so at less than 35 milliseconds of latency. Think we all will be well served as long as EA just ensure that we all have a sufficient number of servers (and capacity) available in each world region.

It is quite funny that a British player is complaining that he has to play on a server hosted in Germany, when all European servers are in chaos with Asian people mostly hacking.
Good luck to this Battlefield ... and no latency restriction on European servers.
